INFORMATION

History

The Central Library was initially conceived a small library having a small collection of Books and Journals for the use of medical students. Central Library of this premier Medical College established in 1962. It was functioning in the erstwhile Administrative Block of the Medical College. Presently it is functioning in a separate G+4 fully Air-conditioned new Library building from 27th July 2016 with well & sophisticated new furniture and good collection of Books/Journals/Magazines. It functions under the administrative control of the Dean & Principal.​

Mission

The Central Library aims to provide wide and efficient library and information services to the Undergraduate/Postgraduate students, House officers, SR/Tutors, Faculties of this Medical College. Besides, it provides services to Nursing students, DMLT/DMRT students, Researchers from other health professionals at the time of their need.

Library Committee :

A Library Committee is constituted under the chairmanship of the Dean & Principal. The Committee is convened from time to time to discuss various problems and development of Central Library. It also approves the Book list and Journal list to be purchased every year.
